SMTC is hiring for an Accounts Receivables Specialist!

Overall Responsibilities: Responsible for a variety of activities associated with the Company accounts receivable function, including but not limited to; invoice processing, cash applications, credit processing, discrepancy resolution and collections. Performs general accounting type duties as assigned.
- Processes and mails invoices.
- Applies cash as received.
- Advises Controller of any problems identified with receivables.
- Processes approved credits.
- Resolves discrepancies in billing.
- Contacts customers regarding outstanding receivables.
- Prepares weekly and monthly commission reports for Company manufacturing representatives.
- Prepares bank reconciliations.
- Perform other related accounting type duties.
- Performs such other duties as assigned.
- Prepares daily loan and collateral report
- Runs and files standard month end accounting reports
- Maintains all accounting files, active and archived.
- Processes and mails invoices
- Issues monthly statements to customers per request
- Applies cash as received
- Processes approved credits
- Resolves discrepancies in billing
- Contacts customers regarding outstanding receivables
- Advises CFO of any problems identified with receivables
- Prepares monthly commission reports for company manufacturing representatives
- Completes Credit Inquires on New Customers
- Updates customer master files with contact information and credit terms
- Notifies Program manager of customers being placed on credit hold
- Enters all wire transfers into the bank web site
- Completes all banking transactions
- Ensures payroll files for accuracy
- Assures all monies are available for all Payroll needs (Taxes, Checks, Direct Deposits and Garnishments) and payroll fees
Education and Experience for the Collections Specialist:
• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED
• Prior experience preferred, but not required up to five (5) years or less.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
