We are a leading online retailer of semi-custom kitchen cabinets, currently seeking a creative individual to support our Design Team in Tampa, FL, and contribute to our mission of providing quality and customizable manufactured in the United States cabinetry solutions to our customers. As a Design Assistant/Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in assisting with various design tasks and projects at our conveniently located Tampa office.
We are currently working a hybrid model (2-days in the Tampa office, 3-days at home), for employees who have completed at least their first two weeks of employment and have demonstrated the ability to work independently. Training will be provided through various on-line opportunities and through Zoom with a Trainer. One on one training will be available when working in the office.
Design Assistant/Project Coordinators are an important part of the Design Operations team. This team provides support to the Design Team, as well as assists with customers and cross-departmental teams. In this role, you will take general phone calls/answer on-line chats for the Design Dept. daily for lead generation and customer service; distribute leads to the Designers. Monitor and process incoming information related to customer questions and design requests daily.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for organization and distribution of project request information
- Monitor and process incoming information related to customer questions and design requests.
- Assist in the creation and pricing of custom items
- Take general phone calls, emails and respond to online chat for the Design Dept. as needed for lead generation and customer service
- Review and audit orders as needed
- Support new customer-facing programs and projects created and deployed to enhance design and/or design request submission experience.
- Custom Cabinetry Links/Fees Production: Create accurate custom links with a quick turnaround, ensuring quality and consistency in every order. This includes regularly updating quantities on customs that are out of stock ensuring up to date/accurate product availability. In the supervisor’s absence, with prior authorization may process special deco doors, ensuring continuity and efficiency.
- Error Report Customer Outreach: Monitor Non-Designer Orders primarily through Error Reports & proactively communicate with customers to address any missing products or discrepancies in their project needs, offering timely assistance to ensure smooth and successful project completion.
- Product Knowledge: Handle daily product knowledge calls, ensuring both customers and team members have accurate information to make informed decisions and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Team Support: Assist the design team by providing resources and tools that improve the accuracy of custom requests, including the development of informative pages and comprehensive documents to consolidate product knowledge.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek new ways to improve workflows both for the design team (custom request submissions) and internally (custom link production), ultimately increasing efficiency across the team.

Qualifications
- Associate Degree or 2+ years’ college
- 2+ years’ experience in construction/cabinet industry/kitchen remodel industry
- Ability to read blueprints is not required, but is a plus
- MUST be detail-oriented and possess the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Personable, with previous phone customer service experience
- Strong written communication and follow-up skills
- Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with 2020 Design software is desirable
- Bi-lingual, English /Spanish is a plus
- Understand the need to always provide an excellent customer experience
