Description
Western Missouri Medical Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing General and Bariatric surgery team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced surgeons, providing high-quality surgical and bariatric care to patients across the continuum of care—from preoperative consultation through postoperative management.
Core privileges:
- Provide direct patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative settings.
- Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
- Assist in surgical procedures as credentialed and appropriate.
- Participate in preoperative education, postoperative follow-up, and long-term bariatric patient support.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop individualized care plans.
- Manage inpatient rounds, admissions, discharges, and consults.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards of care.

Requirements
Certificate/License/Registration:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) with current Missouri state licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Experience in general surgery, bariatrics, or related surgical specialty preferred; new graduates with strong surgical interest will be considered.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills.
