A Culinesse partner community is looking for a Dining Room Manager to join the team! A Dining Room Manager who can lead by example and has experience with high volume catering services.
The Dining Room Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation and management of the dining room. This includes resident seating, service and meal satisfaction. The general responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, those listed below (under “Tasks”). These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
This is a highly collaborative position that requires the ability to balance multiple tasks at one time, prioritize, work with diverse constituencies, and address competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
- Ensure that all residents feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, residents.
- Achieve company objectives in service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Make employment and disciplinary decisions consistent with Directors guidelines for approval or review.
- Fill in where needed to ensure resident service standards and efficient operations.
- Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development. Handle all training and in-services for servers. Serve as a role model for employees.
- Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurants preventative maintenance programs.
- Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
- Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
- Provide advice and suggestions to Assistant General Manager and General Manager of Dining as needed.
- Preforms other duties as assigned by AGM, GM of Dining and Director of Culinary

Working Conditions
- This position is a full-time role.

- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Requirements
1. Education required:
High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
2. Experience required:
At least three years front of the house operations and/or assistant manager experience.
3. Professional license or certification requirements:
Servsafe and Tips a plus, but not required.
4. Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurants trading area. Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions. Process excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
