You will play a key part in delivering a busy programme of over 50 alumni events each year, including prestigious College graduation ceremonies. Working closely with the Alumni Engagement Manager, you’ll help coordinate event logistics, manage communications, and ensure our alumni and students have a memorable experience. This is a part-time role (20 hours per week), with some evening or weekend work required for events. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning and administration of alumni events;
  • Assisting with updating the College’s events web page;
  • Welcoming and stewarding guests at events, ensuring smooth running and excellent alumni engagement;
  • Helping to streamline administrative processes;
  • Providing pre- and post-event support; 
  • Administering College Degree Days;
  • Working with internal and external partners to deliver successful events;
  • Providing general administrative support to the Development Office


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential  Skills
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Confident with IT, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with databases (CRMs) and/or events administration, ideally in higher education.
  • Familiarity with basic web page editing.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
