About the role:

We are seeking a SysOps Engineer with 2+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation and CloudOps support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in AWS services, scripting, CI/CD processes, containerization (Docker, ECS), monitoring tools (Nagios, CloudWatch) and compliance awareness for ISO, SOC2 and GDPR.

 

This role requires flexibility to work in rotational shifts (5-day work week, including possible weekend shifts) and the ability to ensure stability and performance of production environments.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Support and monitor AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts using Python or Bash.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.) for deployments.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and ECS.
  • Configure and troubleshoot AWS networking basics (VPC, subnets, security groups, load balancers).
  • Use Nagios, CloudWatch for monitoring and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, escalate when needed, and assist in root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Follow and support incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance practices (SOC, ISO, GDPR).
  • Work in rotational 5-day shifts, including weekends if scheduled, to provide 24/7 production support.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
  • Practical knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash and more).
  • Experience with Git/GitHub for version control.
  • Exposure to Docker and ECS for containerized workloads.
  • Working knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, CloudWatch).
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work in 5-day rotation shifts, including weekends when required.
  • Awareness of compliance requirements (SOC/ISO).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • AWS Associate-level certification (SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer).
  • Exposure to Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Proficiency in Python scripting
  • Working knowledge of Node.js, React/Angular frameworks.
