Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Researches, reviews and sources parts for both external and internal customers.      
  • Maintains extensive phone and email contact with vendors, customers, and technicians to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Processes orders and allocates parts to technician work orders.
  • Checks on backordered parts and communicates status accordingly to expedite orders.                        
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of computer such as keyboard, 10-key, Microsoft Office, and ERP system.
  • Skilled in customer relations, particularly when communicating via phone.                
  • Skilled in both written and oral communications within all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
  • Ability to operate various forklifts and complete required SOTM training for the same.
  • Ability to perform research and utilize multiple sources in order to expedite orders to fulfill external and internal customer needs.          
  • Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work, and attention to detail.         
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply reasoning.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and breakdown diagrams.          

Education and Experience:  

This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED equivalent.  Incumbent should have a minimum of 1-3 years customer service experience, with an emphasis on the Supply Chain Industry.  Some mechanical background and high-volume call center experience preferred.
