JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Videographer/Photographer 

DIVISION: University Marketing & Communication

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, 12 months; Full-Time, 40 hours

GROUP: Group 8

JOB SUMMARY

The Evangel University Marketing & Communication department is looking for a creative, innovative videographer/photographer to create visual communication for the Burnett Preaching Center Compelling Preaching Initiative as well as other campus projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the university’s mission, possess strong skills in videography and photography and be a self-motivated achiever comfortable with managing multiple projects simultaneously. Education or experience in marketing or advertising will be a plus.

This position supports video/photography projects from concept to completion. He or she will work with the Preaching Center Director in developing stories into projects, create storyboards, plan and execute production schedule, oversee editing process to produce finished project for distribution. Projects will include videography/photography for classes, cohorts, multiple formats of podcasts, training, major events, and marketing. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Increases Evangel brand awareness through its visual content. 
• Produces and develops video/photography content for the Burnett Preaching Center to match quality standards and university branding.
• Prepares and maintain production calendar to meet aggressive production schedule. 
• Maintains an up-to-date video/photography library for preaching center initiatives. 
• Obtains footage/photography needed for specific projects. 
• Hires and oversees direction of student interns in necessary. 
• Ensures brand consistency on all projects. 
• Keeps video content on the Evangel and AGTS websites up-to-date and reflective of current trends in commercial advertising.
• Maintains all production equipment to ensure it remains in working order. 
• Monitors quality of production, edits footage/images, and resolves production issues. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Previous experience working with video/photo production (and graphic design a plus). 
• Knowledge of and experience with Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop. 
• Working knowledge of current version of Adobe Creative Cloud. 
• 2+ year of project management experience. Highly organized, mature, and creative self-starter. 
• Able to work flexible hours over weekends and evenings. 
• Understands and supports the mission of Evangel University and has a desire to serve Evangel University. 
• Evangel University or AGTS graduate preferred.
