We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Production Quality Manager to lead the delivery and oversight of production quality across all vehicle programmes. This is more than managing processes — it’s about embedding a culture of quality across the business, ensuring every vehicle, team, and process delivers excellence from prototype to customer delivery.
You will be the driving force behind production quality, setting the strategy and leading the team that ensures our vehicles meet and exceed expectations. Working closely with Programme Managers, Chief Engineers, and Manufacturing leadership, you will embed robust processes, resolve complex issues, and champion continuous improvement throughout every stage of production.
This is your chance to:
- Define and execute a production quality strategy that aligns with programme goals and company standards.
- Lead quality planning across new product introduction (NPI) and current vehicle programmes, including line trials, process validation, and first-off builds.
- Oversee production quality performance, driving rapid and robust resolution of issues using structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Aftersales to ensure consistent build standards, testing, and end-of-line compliance.
- Implement and maintain in-process metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track production health and readiness.
- Act as the escalation point for critical production quality issues, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to resolve complex challenges.
- Build and inspire a high-performing Production Quality team, coaching, mentoring, and setting the standards for success.
- Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive engagement across all production teams.
About you
- Degree-qualified in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive experience in production quality management within complex, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing control plans, and other quality frameworks within a production setting.
- Experienced in deploying and interpreting quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, 8D, SPC, MSA, Ishikawa).
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, develop, and grow a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities across multiple functions.
- Organised, proactive, resilient, and confident in challenging processes to drive improvement.
- Passionate about delivering objectives, maintaining high standards, and exceeding customer expectations.
This is more than a leadership position, it’s a chance to shape the foundations of production excellence across the business. The systems, strategies, and culture you establish will ensure every vehicle meets the standards of quality and performance our customers expect. You’ll have the influence, platform, and support to build a world-class Production Quality function that underpins everything we deliver.
If you’re ready to make your mark on the future of automotive production quality, we want to hear from you.
