Resident Billing & Trust Specialist

We are seeking a Part- Time, detail-oriented and compassionate Resident Billing and Trust Specialist to join our team. This position plays a key role in managing billing operations and maintaining resident trust accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Process all bills as it pertains to Medicare, Medicaid, Private Pay, HMO, Home Support, VA, Waiver, Worker's Comp. and any other billing outlet required
2. Make corrections to rejected billing and re-submit for payment
3. Submits billing for payment through portals, mail, e-mail or any other method needed
4. Attends Medicare, Managed Care and Triple Check meetings as required
5. Attends AR meetings as required
6. Troubleshoots and Assists with resident billing questions
7. Meal Service once daily during normal working hours not to exceed 30 minutes
8. Assists Controller in follow up to outstanding AR items by re-sending bills and notices
9. Maintains Resident Trust Accounts by filling out paperwork when residents make withdrawals or deposits
10. Assists in writing, maintaining and updating department procedures related to position
11. Cross-training as appropriate
12. Assists with Audit requests as needed
13. Attend PC & SNF Resident Council. Along with IL meetings / table talks regarding billing.
14. Complete Notary Licensing Requirements
15. Answers inquiries regarding resident accounts.
16. Completes assignments as requested.
17. Adheres to all Christ the King Manor regulations, policies and procedures particularly those regarding safety and confidentiality.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in billing, accounting, or financial services—preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.

Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare billing and trust fund regulations is highly desirable.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with billing/accounting software.
