Position: Stand & Deliver Enrollment & Match Support Specialist 

Program: Stand & Deliver Mentoring Program 

Reports to: Mentoring Manager 

Status: Full-Time (32 hours/week), Non-Exempt 

Work Schedule: HYBRID – In-person & Remote 


Family Services of the Merrimack Valley (FSMV) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Enrollment & Match Support Specialist to support the success of our Stand & Deliver academic mentoring program. This full-time, hybrid position plays a vital role in fostering meaningful mentor-student relationships that promote educational achievement and personal growth for middle and high school students. 


About Stand & Deliver

Stand & Deliver matches students from Lawrence Public Schools and Greater Lawrence Technical School with volunteer mentors from four corporate partners to provide one-on-one academic support and guidance to middle school and high school students. The program includes weekly sessions, enrichment events, and a strong focus on relationship-building, career exploration, and family engagement. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student and volunteer outreach and recruitment activities at partnered schools and corporate locations.  
  • Conduct volunteer interviews, orientations, training, and background checks. 
  • Manage student enrollment, including interviews and orientation sessions. 
  • Create and manage mentor-mentee matches based on compatibility, interests, and academic needs. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, school liaisons, and other stakeholders. 
  • Provide regular match support to students, mentors, and families, including check-ins and action planning. 
  • Participate in program events (e.g., kick-offs, field trips, college panels, year-end celebrations). 
  • Provide academic resources to mentors, including PARCC materials and training as needed. 
  • Implement family and caregiver engagement strategies. 
  • Complete and maintain all documentation according to agency standards. 
  • Conduct mid-year and end-of-year surveys/evaluations with program participants. 
  • Collaborate actively with team members to support program success and Continuous Quality Improvement. 
  • Support agency fundraising efforts and secure corporate sponsors, including for the annual Bowl a Strike for Kids event.? 
  • Assist with agency-wide recruitment and mentoring events as needed. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field or 2–3 years of equivalent work experience. 
  • Strong project management and relationship-building skills. 
  • A collaborative team player who is highly motivated, energetic, and results-driven, with strong follow-through and a commitment to achieving goals.? 
  • Confident public speaker with experience creating and delivering tailored presentations.? 
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills. 
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); ability to learn new platforms. 
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and occasional weekends to accommodate program events and activities required.  
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is strongly preferred. 
  • Familiarity with the Lawrence community is a plus. 
  • Access to reliable transportation is required. 

NOTE: Due to partnership agreements in place with other organizations for this program, we do require full vaccinations as set forth by CDC guidelines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time, 32 hours per week, flexible, HYBRID (in person/remote work) position 
  • Pay range $21 - $22 per hour, commensurate upon education and/or experience.
