Officer, Contract Pre-review and Triage
Full-time, Fixed Term position (12 months)
Salary Academic HEW Level 6 ($93,891 - $112,144) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working
About You
As the Officer, Contract pre-review and triage, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient review of research agreements. You will act as a point of triage for newly funded competitive grants and incoming contract research, assessing documentation completeness and readiness for progression to the contract preparation phase.
In this position you will work closely with Research Proposals and Awards Management team and Research Contracts teams to ensure that institutional approvals, project budgets, and other documents as required from time to time are in place prior to handover.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in research administration, project coordination, or contract support in a large complex organisation
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of internal stakeholders.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience working with complex databases or research management systems; experience with Workday or similar platforms is desirable.
Commitment to process improvement and service excellence in a research-intensive environment.
Demonstrated history of behaviour aligned to the RMIT values and the professional capability Framework
Strong understanding of the research funding lifecycle, including pre-award and post-award Compliance (desirable)
