Position Summary
The EHS Bilingual Trainer is responsible for developing, conducting, and maintaining environmental health and safety (EHS) training programs for clients, with a strong focus on construction safety. This role requires a self-motivated, coachable, and growth-oriented professional who can design and deliver training that not only meets regulatory requirements but also exceeds health, safety, and environmental performance standards.
The EHS Bilingual Trainer will interact with a wide range of personnel, including executives, scientists, engineers, construction managers, and field employees. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The individual must be comfortable presenting to large groups, adapting training to client needs, and contributing to a mission-driven team committed to shaping environmental responsibility and creating value for clients, employees, and partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs, with emphasis on construction safety, orientation, and regulatory compliance.
• Create and maintain up-to-date training materials, presentations, and records to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Conduct professional orientation sessions using tools such as PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.
• Instruct both regulatory and proprietary training for large industrial construction sites.
• Adapt training content and methods to meet client-specific requirements.
• Interface effectively with construction personnel in the field, including project management teams.
• Monitor and reinforce compliance with safety procedures during site visits.
• Maintain accurate training records and prepare progress reports for organizational training assessments.
• Communicate effectively through written reports, verbal presentations, and public speaking engagements.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple training sessions per day.
• Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management.
• Participate in required safety briefings and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction, Communication, or a related field (2–4-year degree minimum required).
• 2–3 years of documented EHS experience, preferably with large construction projects.
• Construction safety training and orientation experience required.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 and 500 preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and advanced presentation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training for large and diverse audiences.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory training requirements and best practices.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and present multiple sessions per day.
• Commitment to professionalism, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
• Bilingual skills required (English/Spanish).
Preferred Qualifications
• OSHA 510 and 500 certifications.
• Experience with training program design and implementation on large industrial construction sites.
