Role Overview
This role involves designing and executing automated and manual tests using Tosca for UI, API, and data migration validation, ensuring robust quality across applications. You will collaborate in Agile teams, manage test data and defects, and contribute to continuous improvement in testing practices.
What will you do in this role
- Design, develop and maintain Tosca automation assets for UI and API testing.
- Create and execute manual and automated test cases to validate application functionality.
- Implement Tosca Test Case Design (TCD) patterns to create reusable, maintainable test cases.
- Leverage Tosca Test Data Service (TDS/TDM) to model and manage test data for stable, repeatable tests.
- Configure and run Tosca Distribution Execution (DEX) for orchestrating distributed test runs.
- Use Tosca API scanner and Postman for API discovery, test creation, and execution.
- Lead data migration and integration test efforts: validate transformations, data integrity and end‑to‑end flows.
- Organize test artifacts using Sections, Modules, Test Cases and Test Case Design folders/structures.
- Report, track and manage defects using JIRA; collaborate with developers and product owners to drive timely resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality delivery.
- Produce clear test documentation, status updates and test summary reports.
What should you have
- Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.
- Required Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of hands‑on experience in Tosca UI automation and manual testing.
- 1 year of experience in Tosca API testing and Postman.
- 1.5 years of experience in Tosca data migration and integration testing.
- Strong knowledge of Tosca features including Test Case Design (TCD), Test Data Service (TDS/TDM), Distribution Execution (DEX), and API Scanner.
- Proficient in creating and organizing Sections, Modules, Test Cases and TCD structures in Tosca.
- Excellent experience with JIRA for defect management and tracking.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Nice to Have
- Experience integrating Tosca with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques for migration testing.
- Scripting or programming experience (e.g., C#, VB, Python) for custom test automation extensions.
- Experience with performance or security testing tools.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification.
- Product and customer-centric approach.
- Innovative thinking, experimental mindset.
