Position Summary:

The position will be the lead cook and/or supervisor responsible for the Pizza and Sandwich maker team in Sam’s Alley. As the leader of this team you will be train the team on proper portions and cooking techniques needed in this fun, fast paced environment.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day operation of this food outlet. Including overseeing production and set up for daily sales.
  • Prep food stations for the assembly of pizzas and sandwiches and be ready each morning for daily lunch crowd.
  • Prepare and assemble pizzas and sandwiches using kitchen equipment, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Maintain proper food handling practices, including storage, rotation, and presentation, in compliance with health codes and kitchen procedures.
  • Operate as a cashier when needed, handling basic monetary transactions and providing friendly, efficient service to guests.
  • Order, organize and rotate all while maintaining proper inventory levels based on business levels.
  • Works with Taps Manager to create and implement daily specials consistent with quality and price structure of overall outlet.
  • Will help organize and manage staff of Sam’s Alley and assist the Taps Manager with staff, monthly inventories, ordering, prep lists, scheduling, banquets and special events as needed.

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)

Technical- Cooking Skills/Basic kitchen skills preferred, computer and point of sale experience preferred

Physical Capabilities- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally.

Additional- Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.                                

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- English reading and writing

Minimum time in related position- 1 year kitchen experience required, 2 years supervisory experience required

Equipment and Safety/Protective Equipment Used:

Nonslip shoes required
