As the Not-for-Profit Tax Senior Manager, you’ll deliver a full range of tax services for your clients in the not-for-profit and healthcare industries – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. You’ll collaborate with Not-for-Profit Tax and Human Capital Services team members and provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise, provide primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, develop, and manage staff, and work closely with leadership and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities because together is how we succeed.

Your day-to-day may include:
Managing multiple client service teams on client engagements; planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects; providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and actively assisting in proposal activities
Managing, developing, training, and mentoring staff and assessing performance for engagement and year-end reviews
Conducting primary and secondary review of complex tax returns; including Forms 990, 990-T, 990-PF, and state filings
Maintaining active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure deadlines are met, and enhance client relationships
Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting; preferred: master's in taxation; JD or CPA required
Minimum ten years of progressive federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting experience, with a minimum of four years specializing in the not-for-profit area
Experience with Forms 990, 990-T, and 990-PF
Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in tax compliance, unrelated business income, excise taxes and other tax issues relevant to the not-for-profit industry
Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships and present to client boards
Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Can travel as needed, expected travel up to 10%

The base salary range for this position in Manhattan only is between $164,200 and $246,200
The base salary range for this position in Melville, NY only is between $164,200 and $246,200
The base salary range for this position in Iselin NJ only is between $164,200 and $246,200
