What you will accomplish:
- Monitor and manage firewalls, endpoint protection platforms (EDR), and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Maintain secure system configurations across internal and cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure the timely application of patches and updates.
- Administer user permissions, group policies, and authentication systems (SSO, MFA).
- Enforce least-privilege access controls across platforms and environments.
- Perform regular audits across systems to ensure users have proper levels of access are maintained.
- Analyze alerts from SIEM and security tools to identify potential threats.
- Investigate security events and support incident response and documentation.
- Coordinate cross-departmentally with technical and IT teams to remediate issues promptly.
- Manage compliance efforts related to PCI-DSS, GDPR, and US Data Privacy laws.
- Maintain accurate records of security controls, configurations, and audit findings.
- Lead monthly cross-departmental security advisory board meetings.
- Manage employee security training initiatives.
- Promote a culture of security-minded practices across departments.
- Maintain tools for vulnerability scanning, system monitoring, and log management.
- Support security audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews.
- Stay up to date on evolving threats, attacker methods, and system vulnerabilities and advise on proactive counter measures.

What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field of study.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT or security administration.
- Proficiency with macOS/Windows system administration.
- Experience with EDR, SIEM, IAM, and vulnerability management tools.
- Experience with system, network, vulnerability management, incident response, and/or cloud security.
- Understanding of PCI-DSS, GDPR, and US Data Privacy requirements and policies.
- Knowledge of Incident Response policy, process, and execution.
- Ability to communicate network, cloud, and system security issues to IT, DevOps, and Engineers.
- Experience using vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash and PowerShell).
