Join the Lakeside Foods team and be part of a tradition of excellence. We’re looking for a skilled Refrigeration Technician to support our operations and ensure our equipment runs safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

• Operating ammonia refrigeration equipment.
• Inspecting and testing machinery for proper function.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues by listening for unusual sounds and collaborating with team members.
• Dismantling and repairing defective machines and installing new parts.
• Cleaning and lubricating machinery components.
• Installing and repairing electrical apparatus and components.
• Assembling and maintaining pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Troubleshooting facility mechanical and refrigeration systems.
• Operating machine tools (lathe, grinder, drill, milling machine) for repairs and fabrication.
• Using welding and cutting torch equipment.

What You’ll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience operating ammonia refrigeration systems (Freon experience also considered).
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics, and parts terminology.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 100 lbs.
• Must have vision capabilities including close, distance, peripheral, and focus adjustment.
• Willingness to wear OSHA-approved full-face respirator (filtered air and SCBA).
