A Clinical Lab Scientist performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.
How you’ll contribute
A Clinical Laboratory Scientist who excels in this role:
- Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and reports/documents results per organizational standards.
- Performs automated tests using computerized instruments & automated equipment.
- Runs tests and analyze the results to be reported to the patient, physician or registered nurse.
- Performs Quality
- Assurance work to ensure accuracy of equipment. Willing and able to demonstrate appropriate core competencies annually or as requested.
- Performs and determines accuracy of technical lab procedures.
- Maintains records of procedures performed, the patient results and the quality control required for all procedures performed.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of all quality control tests completed.
- Reads and understands all procedure manuals on an annual basis.

What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Services- Preferred
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Licenses: ASCP certification or eligibility required.
- Primary Source Verification: American Society for Clinical Pathology.
