Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Lead Software Architect to guide and coordinate the efforts of our Backend, Mobile, and Embedded development teams in building a next-generation connected product. This role is ideal for a highly technical leader with deep experience in Node.js backend development, AWS cloud architecture, and cross-platform system integration. You will play a critical role in uniting multiple teams around a shared vision and delivering scalable, high-performance software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across Backend, Mobile, and Embedded platforms.
- Coordinate cross-functional development efforts, ensuring aligned timelines and integration milestones.
- Design and maintain scalable, secure, and robust backend services using Node.js and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Mobile and Embedded teams to ensure seamless data flow, connectivity, and end-to-end system performance.
- Act as the technical liaison between engineering, product management, and stakeholders.
- Drive best practices in software architecture, development, and DevOps.
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge-sharing across disciplines.
- Lead technical reviews, troubleshoot complex system issues, and oversee system integration.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience in software architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in Node.js and backend system design.
- Proven experience working with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, IoT Core, etc.).
- Solid understanding of mobile application development (iOS/Android) and embedded systems integration.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Track record of leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, BLE).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of embedded Linux systems or RTOS-based devices.
- Experience in agile project management and product lifecycle planning.
