Summary

The Logistics Administrator – Graphics Production is responsible for scheduling and coordinating outbound shipments to various warehouse locations and event facilities. This role is responsible for the timely movement of completed graphic orders for the purpose of on-time delivery. This position requires strong communication and coordination skills.

 

This position will support our Graphics Production team within our Event & Exhibit Services division. The position follows an in-person schedule working in-office based out of Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation requirements with third party freight carriers for interstate and intrastate deliveries to scheduled events and facilities.
  • Communicate with warehouse and event staff to coordinate transportation needs for planned deliveries to events inside local market/area.
  • Communicate transportation updates to operations and event staff of all movements in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that packaged and staged items are properly manifested and documented for shipping.
  • Adhere to and update shipping schedule and calendar.
  • Check drivers in and out of warehouse in accordance with operational policies and procedures.
  • Operate loading and unloading equipment in conduct of warehouse dock operations.
  • Receive incoming shipments and deliver materials to the appropriate locations within the warehouse.
  • Produce accurate and timely counts for weekly, monthly and annual inventory purposes.
  • Adhere to safe operational practices to reduce and control safety violations.
  • Work with our vendor network to provide quality service while balancing fiscal responsibility to ensure Operational Excellence and Sustainable Profitability.
  • Drive teamwork and communication between all warehouse operations.
  • Professionally interact with customers, sales, and operations staff to provide the best customer service experience.
  • Ensure that job costs are kept to a minimum without sacrificing service to customers.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by Freeman.
  • Assists other department heads as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required.
  • Two years of related experience within event production, warehouse management and/or transportation management preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment while being an independent thinker.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with safety and security measures and safe equipment operation in the loading dock area.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Should be familiar with: Office software applications including but not limited to email, Microsoft Word and Excel and related systems
  • Must be able to perform basic computer functions including completion of online reports, printing, posting, running inquiries, and performing data entry.
