In the role of Maintenance Mechanic working at the Molson Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado you will be part of the Plant Technical Services team, working at our Process Waste Treatment Plant (Industrial Wastewater Treatment). Our utilities team is the lifeblood that keeps our brewery going. You will be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of our water treatment assets. This plant services the Golden Brewery, Golden Malting, Rocky Mountain Metal Container, and Coors Tek. The reliability of these assets ensures that we can be responsible stewards of our community and achieve our wastewater discharge permits.
Candidates must have the necessary experience, aptitude, and education to support lower valley utilities operations through performance of mechanical duties such as set-up, adjustment, troubleshooting, P.M. inspections, overhauls, and equipment modifications/improvements when necessary. Assist in training of other new employees. Performs all work in a safe manner always demonstrating proper use of safety equipment.
It is also important that you can assure customer satisfaction through identifying, as an individual and as a member of a work unit, the internal and external customers; jointly determining customer needs and means of measurement to deliver mutually agreed upon products/services. Continually investigate methods to improve customer satisfaction to achieve the goal of quality relationships. Must be capable of working in a team-oriented environment.
What You'll Be Brewing:
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and service wastewater treatment plant machinery and equipment, including:
Pumps, Valves and valve actuators, Motors and engines, Meters and drives Tanks and reservoirs, Compressors, Chemical feed and storage systems, Disinfection systems, ther equipment typical to an industrial wastewater treatment facility - Install and rebuild pumps, motors, piping systems, and specialized wastewater treatment equipment
- Fabricate parts and equipment; operate welding, cutting, and general fabrication equipment
- Pack, lubricate, and clean mechanical equipment and motors
- Inspect newly installed mechanical equipment to ensure safe and satisfactory operation and functionality
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and servicing on equipment
- Participate in the repair and maintenance of industrial electrical equipment
- Keep accurate maintenance records and log all work in SAP
- Respond to emergencies and problems after hours and on weekends as directed
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required in a safe manner
- Work as a team with peers and assist in covering the other two plants in the Lower Valley Utilities Department
Shift: 5:48-3:00 pm M-F
Key Ingredients:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of progressive experience maintaining a wastewater treatment facilit
- Possession of a valid Colorado Driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Environment: Wastewater treatment plant and field environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, H2S, potentially hazardous chemicals, electrical energy, and inclement weather conditions including hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions; work around water; work on slippery, uneven, surfaces; work in confined spaces; routinely climb ladders, stairs; regularly work near moving mechanical parts; and work around moderately loud noise levels; must be available to off shift hours due to emergencies, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Physical: Require sufficient mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and twist; push, pull, lift, and/or carry moderate to moderately heavy amounts of weights; operate assigned equipment and vehicles; ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.
