Description:

CTG is seeking to fill an AWS Cloud Migration Architect opening for our client in Bakersfield, CA.

 

Location: Bakersfield, CA
Duration: 3 months

 

Duties:

  • Lead the design and delivery of cloud migration solutions for multi-cloud environments, primarily AWS, with exposure to Azure, IBM Cloud (ICP), and hybrid platforms.

  • Develop and implement migration strategies for applications, databases, integrations, and network components.

  • Recommend and lead the adoption of appropriate migration tools for rehost, refactor, rearchitect, replatform, and containerization approaches.

  • Conduct methodology adoption workshops and tailor migration approaches to client-specific environments and industry needs.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing guidance to Migration Project Managers on technical WBS elements, estimations, migration risks, dependencies, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) planning.

  • Map client platform and application deployment requirements to AWS services and configurations, ensuring optimal architecture design.

Skills:

  • Deep expertise in AWS services, architecture, and service catalog.

  • Strong understanding of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud migration approaches.

  • Experience with migration tools and methodologies for various migration strategies.

  • Ability to lead technical teams and provide SME guidance.

  • Strong problem-solving and strategic planning skills.

Experience:

  • Proven experience leading cloud migration projects, preferably in AWS environments.

  • Hands-on experience with application, database, and network migration.

  • Experience in methodology adoption, risk assessment, and technical project planning.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $56.00 to $73.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
