JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To accelerate UPL’s cloud-first digital transformation, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer with 5-6 years of hands-on experience in cloud design, implementation, and operations. This role ensures scalable, secure, and cost-optimized infrastructure for data, applications, and GenAI services primarily on Microsoft Azure with additional exposure to AWS, with strong alignment to enterprise KPIs, including platform availability, cost efficiency, AI readiness, and hybrid workload reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design

· Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud architectures on Azure and AWS platforms

· Participate in cloud migration strategies and execute migration projects

· Create and maintain architectural documentation and best practices

· Support high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning

· Define standard and best practices for cloud services for tagging, deployment and security along with cloud architecture team

DevOps & CI/CD Implementation

· Work with DevOps Engineer to automate cloud resource management with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline

· Work with DevOps Engineer to develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning across environments

· Work with DevOps Engineer to integrate infrastructure provisioning with application deployment pipelines

· Implement automated testing for infrastructure code and applications

· Establish GitOps workflows for infrastructure and application management

· Automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments

Infrastructure Management

· Deploy and manage compute resources (Azure VMs, containers, EC2, serverless functions)

· Design and managing hybrid network architectures including VNet peering, subnets, security groups, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute

· Configure and manage storage solutions (Azure Storage, managed disks, S3, EBS)

· Manage container orchestration platforms (AKS, EKS, Docker)

· Design and manage serverless services

Data & Analytics

· Design and implement data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics solutions using Azure Databricks
