About the role

 

At TasNetworks, we’re looking for a skilled Finance Business Partner to provide trusted financial insights and strategic support that enable informed decisions and drive performance.

The Finance Business Partner will be based in our Lenah Valley office, and works in a dynamic and changing environment, acting as the key point of contact for finance-related activities for an allocated portfolio.

 

In this role, you’ll:

  • Partner with Executives and Leaders, influencing and shaping decisions with commercial and analytical insights.
  • Deliver financial analysis, planning, budgeting and performance commentary.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure robust financial oversight.
  • Manage month-end processes and reconciliations accurately and on time.
  • Support programs and projects within the Gate Investment Framework.
  • Provide regulatory advice, data analytics and business insights to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with the finance business partnering team to deliver strategic objectives and ongoing process improvements.

 

About you

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a mix of technical expertise, commercial acumen and strong relationship-building skills. You’ll have:

  • Degree qualifications in accountancy, business or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP highly regarded).
  • Strong capability in Power BI and Excel.
  • The ability to influence and advise non-financial stakeholders with confidence.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset with the initiative to work autonomously when needed.
  • High attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
