Job Tasks and Responsibilities

 

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive and motivated person to join our Commercial team based onsite at Cameby Downs Mine.

  • Prepare with month-end and year-end financial reporting, including journal entries and GL reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and assist with asset audits.
  • Managing capital, asset management, compliance, and government returns.
  • Conduct cost reporting analysis and communicate with managers and supervisors with transparency of costs.
  • Co-ordinate cost review meetings with department leads and supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparation of budget and forecast.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Take initiative in identifying and resolving discrepancies or inefficiencies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
  • Support on other ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as required.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years work experience (Preferred in Mining sector)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Experience in using ERP system (SAP) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Demonstrates high standards of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • CPA/CA designation or currently studying towards
