Position Description
Travel Required
Major/Essential Functions
- Act as classified system Point of Contact (POC) and maintain access and coordination with system administrators.
- Serve as Points of Contact (POC) for guards regarding secure spaces.
- Manage and provide on-site physical security of a complex family of facilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g., NISPOM, DoD 5220.22-M).
- Manage personnel security clearance processes, including initial applications, reinvestigations, and periodic updates.
- Send visitor access requests for official travel through DISS.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for personnel.
- Oversee physical security measures such as access control, visitor management, surveillance systems, alarms, and badge systems.
- Conduct security education, training, and awareness (SETA) programs for cleared personnel.
- Prepare for and participate in audits, inspections, and self-assessments conducted by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) or other agencies.
- Conduct security briefings and debriefings.
- Conduct periodic self-inspections of the security program.
- Keep the National Industrial Security System (NISS) updated.
- Maintain adherence to the DD-254.
- Investigate security violations and incidents; prepare and submit appropriate reports.
- Coordinate with IT staff to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements for classified systems (e.g., RMF, NIST standards).
- Maintain required security documentation, records, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support emergency planning, evacuation procedures, and safety compliance related to security.
- Liaise with government security agencies and internal and external customers in support of program-related activities.
- Maintain SCIF accreditation, integrity and all associated requirements for monitoring and response.
- Responsible for installation and accreditation of client systems.
- Provide guidance, oversee, and direct SCIF construction.
- Provide proposal response write-up and guidance.

Preferred Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- US Citizen.
- Prior experience as an SSO.
- Facility Clearance (FCL) knowledge.
- In-depth knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA procedures, ICD705, and other DoD security regulations.
- Working knowledge of the Defense Information Systems for Security (DISS) and National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain discretion with sensitive information.
