Position Description
Travel Required
Major/Essential Functions
- Develop, implement, and oversee occupational safety and health programs to promote safe working conditions and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Coordinate incident investigations and responses to safety complaints.
- Serves as the University liaison with outside agencies concerning occupational safety and health issues and during regulatory inspections as needed.
- Provides occupational safety and health consultation, guidance, and training to University students, faculty, and staff.
- Develop metrics to track the effectiveness of safety programs and develop strategies to improve program performance.
- Conduct indoor air quality assessments and perform duties as a licensed Mold Assessment Consultant licensed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in support of mold assessment and remediation activities for the University.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations and best practices.
