We’re seeking an Area Sales Engineer to drive new business growth and strengthen customer relationships within a designated UK territory. As part of Sulzer’s Services team, you’ll leverage our UK footprint and capabilities to identify opportunities, deliver bespoke solutions, and shape long-term partnerships.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a sales plan, identifying priority targets, leads, and opportunities across electro-mechanical, pump, and turbo service lines.
  • Research and understand customer profiles and market trends to tailor compelling pitches.
  • Build strong, productive relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Centres and engineering teams to ensure technical solutions are delivered seamlessly.
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities, presenting Sulzer’s complete service offering.
  • Own and exceed allocated sales targets, contributing to the growth of Sulzer’s UK business.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • Proven success in sales within a fast-paced service environment.
  • Strong track record of generating new business and developing customer relationships.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to sell value propositions.
  • Familiarity with engineering products or aftermarket services
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
  • Resilient, proactive, and results-focused with a collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and basic P&L understanding.
