Job Overview:
- Develop channel sales strategy and ensure effective execution consistent with overall business strategy.
 - Responsible for building and delivering both the budget and Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
 - Leadership and development of Sales Management and the external sales force
 - Representing the business with key external customers in an ambassadorial role
 
Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Duties:
- Exceed sales targets in line with profitability expectations
 - Customer acquisition and retention to support channel strategy
 - Deliver New Product Inventory into the channel and maximise available revenue flow
 - Successfully negotiate terms and contracts with key external customers – directly and through team
 - Act as a collaborative and engaged member of the Sales Leadership Team (SLT)
 - Drive a team culture which is open, honest and appropriately challenging
 - Own, support and enable the Talent Management and performance management agendas
 
Experience / Knowledge:
(Essential)
- Proven 2nd line leadership experience. Can clearly demonstrate delivery though others
 - Graduate calibre with a proven commitment to professional and leadership development (self and others)
 - Has been accountable for P&L and has successfully delivered against this
 - Experience of working in a highly matrixed environment where a need for collaboration is critical
 - Demonstrable experience of leading high and managing low performers in a robust and ethical way.
 - Can demonstrate how has successfully exploited opportunities and addressed issues through organisational, people and financial management.
 
(Preferential)
- Postgraduate qualification in management/business
 - Related or parallel industry experience in a leadership role (i.e. products within a construction market, plumbing and heating or a complex specification and tenders led business model)
 
Skills:
- The ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate effective networks at senior levels (both internal and external)
 - Articulate market influence and create effective strategies to act on opportunities and threats
 - The ability to successfully engage with and influence regulatory and industry bodies i.e. HBF, DOH, WRAS and CIPHE
 - Can successfully operate across cultural and geographical boundaries
