  • Oversee programme governance, financial performance, and resource scalability.
  • Partner with client programme directors and engineering leads to align on roadmaps, scope, and design packages.

Operational Service Delivery

  • Direct large-scale teams including Service Project Managers, Field Splicing Engineers, and Optical Technicians.
  • Ensure consistent application of SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards across all sites.
  • Oversee execution of optical builds: fibre splicing, OTDR testing, MPO/MTP trunking, optic integration, and QA validation.
  • Establish a Global Service Excellence framework, incorporating Lean Six Sigma, CSI, and 5S practices to drive efficiency.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as executive sponsor and escalation point for hyperscale clients.
  • Maintain transparent reporting on progress, SLA/KPI adherence, risks, and financial performance.
  • Build trust through proactive communication, continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborative governance forums.

Resource & Workforce Management

  • Develop global workforce strategy for Supervisors, Project Managers, and Technicians, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning.
  • Coordinate allocation of splicing teams, logistics, and tooling (fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters) to ensure timely execution.
  • Manage vendor/partner relationships where subcontracting is required, ensuring compliance with EOS and client standards.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Use post-deployment data to identify optimisation opportunities in cost, productivity, and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols (OSHA and local equivalents) and client compliance standards.
  • Promote innovation in tooling, automation, and BI-driven performance analytics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in service delivery or operations leadership in large-scale fibre optic, telecom, or data centre programmes.
  • Proven track record managing multi-region optical deployments and field operations teams.
  • Strong technical understanding of:
    • Fusion splicing (single-mode and multi-fibre ribbon)
    • OTDR testing, power meter & light source testing
    • MPO/MTP trunk cable installation and structured cabling
    • Fibre troubleshooting and QA validation
  • Experience implementing operational frameworks: Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or equivalent.
  • Executive-level stakeholder management experience in hyperscale or telecom environments.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project/programme management certification desirable.
  • Ability to travel globally to oversee programme execution.
