Nature of Duties:
This position is responsible for supervising patient services staff and overseeing daily front office operations. The Team Leader should have a working knowledge of insurance products, be familiar with common insurers and their limitations, and know how to access resources to resolve related issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; college education preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency with computers.
Knowledge of insurance products preferred.
Prior management experience preferred.
At least two years in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Starting Compensation: $22.2500 will commensurate based on experience
Specific Duties:
Oversee patient reception and ensure positive patient interactions for services such as visits and diagnostic testing.
Manage daily schedules and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and department leaders to maintain efficient patient flow and provider workflow.
Resolve scheduling issues and patient concerns using system tools.
Perform front desk duties as needed, including check-in/out, scheduling, and chart prep.
Supervise Patient Services staff, including:
Training and onboarding new team members
Providing guidance and support
Fostering a positive team environment
Coaching for performance and teamwork
Conducting performance evaluations and counseling as needed
Managing staffing levels and approving time-off requests
Ensuring staff compliance with tools, policies, and procedures
Serving as a liaison among staff, physicians, Practice Administrator, and other leaders
Maintain secure cash handling procedures.
Communicate issues or suggestions to the Practice Administrator.
Support electronic health record processes, including SRS scanning.
Perform additional duties as assigned in alignment with CIS’s mission and patient care philosophy.
