Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our growing team and play a crucial role in successfully driving technical project execution. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing technical projects across cross-functional teams throughout their lifecycles. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen, experience working in Agile environments, and excellent stakeholder management skills, and is located in or near Austin, TX, Tallahassee, FL, or Indianapolis, IN. 

You will collaborate closely with internal and external technical teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, within scope, and aligned with strategic business goals. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to take ownership of projects and help shape our delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive Agile project plans, roadmaps, and charters.
• Identifies needed tasks in coordination with technical resources and creates meaningful tickets for delivery teams to execute.
• Plan and coordinate project deliverables with cross-functional implementation teams.
• Proactively set and track project milestones, mitigate risks, and resolve roadblocks to keep projects on schedule.
• Lead recurring status meetings with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Maintain detailed project documentation throughout the lifecycle, including technical documentation as needed.
• Ensure seamless project closure, including retrospectives and knowledge transfers.
• Continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 - 4 years of related experience required.
• Strong ability to identify, write, and document detailed technical requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar project management tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, open-source technologies, and virtualization/containerization (e.g., Puppet, Linux, OpenVPN, Sensu, etc.)
• Intermediate understanding of networking required, including TPC/IP, routing, routing protocols, firewall, VLANs, and VPNs (SSL and IPSEC).
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
• Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing technical projects in the retail, c-store, or hospitality industry is a plus.
• Intermediate understanding of Operation systems (Windows/Linux)
• Experience managing projects in an agile and continuous delivery environment.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, etc.
• PMP, CSM, PgMP, and/or comparable project management certifications required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work a hybrid schedule, 3 days per week in our Austin, Tallahassee, or Indianapolis office.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer.
