Job Overview:

Perficient is seeking a dynamic and technically savvy AWS Tech Sales Specialist to join our growing AWS Practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business, and who can partner with Portfolio Specialists to qualify opportunities, shape solutions, and drive customer success in cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

As part of this role, you will support pre-sales engagements, lead technical discovery sessions, and help craft compelling AWS-based solutions that address customer pain points. You’ll play a key role in translating business needs into technical strategies and ensuring alignment between customer goals and Perficient’s AWS capabilities.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

· Partner with Portfolio Specialists and Account Executives to qualify leads and shape cloud migration and modernization opportunities.

· Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to understand current, pain points, and desired outcomes.

· Translate business requirements into AWS solutions, migration strategies, and modernization roadmaps.

· Qualify the opportunities as per the need and then work with the practice team to solution.

· Collaborate with AWS practice leaders and delivery teams to scope projects, estimate effort, and ensure feasibility.

· Stay current on AWS services, best practices, and emerging technologies to guide clients effectively.

· Support proposal development, RFP responses, and client presentations.

· Act as a trusted advisor to clients during early stages of engagement.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.

· 8–10 years of experience in technology roles, with at least 3–5 years in cloud (preferably AWS) pre-sales or solution architecture.

· Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, and networking components.

· Experience in cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, refactoring).

· Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.

· Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

· Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

· Proven experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting, or sales engineering roles within cloud or enterprise technology domains.

· Strong understanding of AWS service offerings, pricing models, and migration strategies.

· Ability to build and deliver compelling demos, presentations, and proof-of-concept solutions to prospective clients.

· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including delivery, product, and business development.

· AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate/Professional) is a strong plus.

· Prior experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement platforms.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

 

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
