Job Description:

Reporting to the Front of House Management Team, Server Assistants play a key role in supporting Servers and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. They maintain a high level of floor awareness, uphold O&B presentation standards, and provide seamless support with food running, table maintenance, and guest service.

The Day to Day:

  • Support Servers by maintaining table mise en place, cleanliness, and completeness throughout service.
  • Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary.
  • Assist with food running, ensuring dishes are delivered to the correct guest (no auctioning).
  • Maintain awareness of the dining room, clearing and resetting tables as needed.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Communicate with Servers and Hosts to support smooth seating and service flow.
  • Keep service stations stocked with condiments, milk, cream, butter, and other essentials.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Remove garbage, change linen bags, and ensure recycling/disposal areas are kept tidy.
  • Share guest feedback or requests with the team to ensure a positive, memorable dining experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Full availability
  • A Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset
  • Smart Serve Certification a requirement
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to take direction and prioritize
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • High level of product knowledge
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
