Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that entities comply with all applicable authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.

• Manage projects by planning the tax process, coordinating with preparers, and ensuring quality procedures.

• Conduct detailed reviews on returns, prepare review notes, and raise potential tax issues.

• Identify book-to-tax differences and manage project budgets versus actuals.

• Identify when research is needed, frame issues clearly, and report analyses concisely.

• Apply standards for preparation of tax returns and accruals (ASC 740-10 / FAS 109 / FIN 48).

• Assist with developing, recommending, and implementing tax-efficient strategies to maximize entity benefits.

• Identify consulting opportunities to reduce entity liabilities.

• Support controversy work by gathering and documenting relevant information.

• Introduce and develop new or improved ideas to benefit our firm.

• Prepare studies of tax implications and present alternative courses of action.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.

• CPA license, Attorney, or IRS Enrolled Agent preferred.

• Master’s degree in Taxation or Accountancy preferred.

• 3+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or consulting.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and tax software applications.

• Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines.

• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
