About The role 

As a Senior Developer within WA Primary Health Alliance’s Digital Services Portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and supporting secure and scalable software applications on the Primary Health Insights (PHI) Platform. This includes managing CI/CD pipelines, implementing automation solutions, and ensuring data integrity and security. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external service providers, contribute to Agile and DevOps practices, and provide Tier 3/4 technical support. The role also involves leading or supporting projects, overseeing code quality, and ensuring compliance with development standards. Your work will directly support the delivery of digital solutions that enhance primary health care across Western Australia.

🔹Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid Role)

🔹Employment Type: Full-time Maximum Term contract for 2 years

🔹 Salary: Band 5 ($106k -$124k Plus 12% Superannuation)

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain secure and scalable applications on the PHI Platform.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for automation and deployment.
  • Provide Tier 3/4 technical support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service restoration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
  • Ensure code quality through version control, peer reviews, and adherence to development standards.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and project planning, including effort estimation and task management.
  • Maintain technical, training, and user documentation to support ongoing development and knowledge sharing.
  • Support the development and enforcement of secure coding practices and data protection strategies.                                                                                                                                                                          

About you

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

Essential experience and education 

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proven expertise in:
    1. .NET and ASP.NET (C#)
    2. Front-end web development
    3. Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
    4. XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including React and Node.js), JSON, and/or web APIs
    5. Atlassian Suite or similar development tools
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with relevant certification highly regarded.
  • Background in organisations with structured software design standards, application frameworks, and formal development training.
