• Collaborate with the Director, Sales Desk SIG to develop sales goals, business and marketing plans for the internal desk to grow sales, market share and increase visibility for SRS.
• Hire and manage members of their respective internal sales teams.
• Plan, direct and organize the activities of the internal wholesalers.
• Responsible for employee development, handling of corrective action situations, and conducting appropriate and quality performance evaluations.
• Recommend and develop firm focuses and call out campaigns for the internal sales desk in conjunction with external sales management.
• Provides sales coaching and product training to internal wholesalers to enhance sales and relationship skills.
• Manage all administrative aspects for the internal sales functions according to company policies, including in and outbound call metrics, staff meeting participation, comply with email retention and other requirements.
• Establish a protocol and process for responding to financial advisor issues and case review requests.
• Act as a resource for sales training and SIG product training to internal stakeholders.
• Act as registered principal for respective team.
• Attend broker dealer and sales conferences as requested.
- Bachelor's Degree Communications, Marketing, Business or related field Required
- 3-5 years' of industry experience Preferred
- Financial services sales experience Preferred
- People management experience Preferred
- Sales strategy development experience Preferred
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Strong people management, coaching, team building and relationship building skills in the development of internal wholesalers at all skill levels
- Proven interpersonal skills to allow for collaborative work effort
- Exhibit strong problem solving and judgment skills
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales plans
- Knowledge of the retail retirement products
- Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external resources, fund managers and vendors as well as other departments
- Excellent communication skills-both oral and written
- High level of professionalism to effectively interface with senior management
- State Life Insurance license Required
- Series License-6 Required
- Series License-63 Required
- Series License-26 Preferred
- Occasional travel may be required (Less than 10%)
