About the Role
Inch&Co. is a dynamic organization with eight divisions spanning real estate, construction, development, landscaping, property management, and related industries. Our in-house legal department plays a strategic role in driving business growth, managing risk, and supporting compliance across all facets of the company.
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Paralegal to support our General Counsel and leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to work across a broad range of legal matters while helping to build and refine scalable legal operations that will support an expanding General Counsel portfolio. The right candidate will be energized by a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and interested in contributing to the growth of a modern, business-focused legal function leveraging legal technology and AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
As the legal department grows, this individual may play a key role in helping to build, train, and manage a broader legal support team, making this a great opportunity for a candidate interested in leadership and legal operations strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Research & Drafting
- Conduct research and draft memoranda on legal topics including contracts, employment, real estate, and regulatory issues
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, corporate policies, and other legal documents
- Assist in preparing pleadings, discovery responses, and legal correspondence
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Maintain corporate records, entity filings, and licenses across multiple business units
- Track and manage compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local levels
- Assist with drafting and updating policies, procedures, and internal compliance documentation
Contract & Transactional Support
- Maintain contract tracking systems, including key dates, renewals, and obligations
- Support real estate and construction transactions by coordinating documents, reviewing title reports, and working with external counsel
- Draft and review vendor, subcontractor, and partnership agreements
Litigation & Risk Management
- Organize and manage litigation files, discovery materials, and case deadlines
- Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders on active matters
- Prepare exhibits, evidence, and related litigation materials as needed
General Legal & Administrative Support
- Manage calendars, workflows, and task tracking for the General Counsel
- Maintain legal document systems and organize shared resources
- Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects across various business units
- Assist in identifying opportunities to streamline legal processes and prepare for future team expansion
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred. Paralegal Certificate not required but preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience (corporate, transactional, litigation, or real estate experience strongly preferred)
- Solid understanding of contracts, corporate governance, and business law
- Experience using and evaluating legal technology platforms, including AI-enabled tools for document generation and review, contract analysis, and workflow automation
- Comfortable adopting and integrating new technologies into day-to-day legal operations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different industries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Leadership potential or prior experience mentoring junior legal staff is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary starting at approximately $60,000 for candidates with 3 years of relevant experience
- Higher compensation will be offered for candidates with significant experience and expertise
