Position Description

A graduate student in an institution of higher education employed in support of a department or unit responsible for work assigned by the supervisor within the unit or department, which utilizes knowledge beyond undergraduate academic studies.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Assist in the development of marketing and communication strategies and campaigns to promote information technology across TTU campus across the Texas Tech campus and beyond.
  • Work with a team to develop impactful methods to engage our campus community.
  • Collaborate with the central Marketing & Communications office and other team members on outreach campaigns, events and projects.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to marketing and communication as needed.
  • This position is expected to work for up to 20 hours per week as permitted by applicable policies.
  • This position requires a Level 2 Security Clearence (Background check and Drug/Alcohol screening).

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Required Qualification: 
  • Will be enrolled as a student for at least two full semesters after starting the position. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Professional experience in marketing strategy and/or education or certifications in marketing, media and communications or communications.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Advanced users of PowerPoint, and other Office suite software.
