Requirements / Qualifications

Credential Requirements: • Valid appropriate California Multiple Subjects Credential • CLAD or BCLAD certification- EL Authorization • Successful completion of basic skills (CBEST) • Copy of results of Subject Matter Exam for NCLB compliance Education: B.A or B.S. degree required. M.A. or M.S. preferred but not required; CPR/First Aid Certification required before first day of employment. Additional TK Assignment Requirements: *At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both *Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children comparable to the 24 units of education described in bullet 1 (comparability determined by the local employing agency) *Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing

Ability to work with a wide variety of learners. Ability to perform job duties in an ever-changing and demanding work environment. Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred but not required. Brief Description of the Position: Under the direction and supervision of the Principal, the candidate will plan instruction, teach, differentiate instruction, motivate, inspire and assess students. The candidate will promote a high-quality, personalized education program that includes an understanding of different learning styles and disabilities and carries out other assigned related duties necessary to the successful operation of the school.
