Job Summary
Location: Norma Coombs Elementary
Norma Coombs Elementary School (NCES), a Kindergarten through Fifth Grade multi-cultural public school with approximately 500 students enrolled.Our philosophy is unique among Pasadena schools. NCES asks every student to engage actively in the process of learning through exploring, questioning and creative problem-solving. Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL LICENSE OR LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Education: Must possess a secondary (i.e., high school) school diploma, or its equivalent (GED).
Experience: Recent paid or volunteer experience involving organized activities with elementary school children.
Special Licenses, Certifications, Language Skills:
As required by California Education Codes and Health & Safety Codes, school staff working with children must be free of infectious tuberculosis (TB). Proof of current TB screening must be presented prior to employment and renewed every 4 years thereafter.
Possession of current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certificates from approved training program is desirable.
The ability to read, write and speak a language, in addition to English is desirable
