Position Summary

Department

Mail Supply 

Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings to provide a clean, attractive and safe environment. This lead position will act as the primary trainer for any incoming Junior Technician. They will also act as back up to the Mail/Supply technician. 

 

Essential Duties

  • Performs routine inspections of facilities determining what preventative maintenance is needed and completing preventative maintenance. 
  • Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor. Maintains email communication of daily movement and progress with leadership. Responsible for adding notes, following up on work, and closing out assigned facilities tickets daily.
  • Uses judgment in, determining the extent of work needing to be completed, making proactive observations of potential work that will need to be added to the facility tickets, and recommending an outside trade when considered necessary. 
  • Inspects roofs; clean gutters and downspouts to clear debris from rooftops; patch or replace worn and broken gutters, downspouts, drain caps and roof leaks and potential roof leaks; repair fan screens on roofs; repair or replace damaged or worn roof vent caps. Must be able to climb roof hatch ladders for roof top access. 
  • Makes repairs as needed to electrical systems, such as switches and outlets, replacing bulbs and ballasts, troubleshooting system problems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, faucets, toilets, and other fixtures. 
  • Uses equipment and tools such as power drills, screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, saws, ladders, and other tools commonly used to maintain facilities and associated equipment. 
  • Sets up and removes tables and chairs to accommodate training and community functions.
  • Provides touch-up painting to interior and exterior walls and trim on an as-needed basis.
  • Repairs or recommends replacement of asphalt, concrete, brick, or stone surfaces. 
  • Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings.
  • May work at elevations of greater than ten feet while repairing or maintaining building structures (roof repairs, inspections, etc.). May climb and work while on a ladder. 
  • May work in small, cramped areas while performing facility maintenance/repairs (under sinks, under desks, etc.).
  • Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing over 50 lbs. 
  • Picks up, transports, and delivers supplies, equipment, and correspondence from Credit 
  • Union facilities as well as outside agencies. Drives Credit Union vehicles. Maintain assigned Credit Union Vehicle.
