About the opportunity

The Student Recruitment BI (Business Intelligence) Analyst provides professional data analysis, visualisation, and data storytelling support to SFS (Sydney Future Students) and University stakeholders seeking statistical insights, including those sourced or compiled by the AAP (Advanced Analytics and Planning unit) with a focus on recruitment outcomes.

  • reports and analysis for management and ad hoc requests,
  • statistical data and information required for government and other regulatory reporting,
  • analytical insights to inform strategic decision-making and forecasting,
  • data segmentation and lead list management to maintain consistency and data integrity.

About you

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values excellence, trust and accountability, and brings a passion for data-driven insights. You will have: 

  • experience applying analytical and conceptual skills to inform business strategy in an education (preferably HE) or sales and marketing setting
  • skills to extract, transform and relate data from various sources: SQL, M, Dax or similar
  • proficiency in the use of semantic modelling and visualization tools (MS PowerBI, Tableau or similar)
  • confident ability to elicit and understand business questions, and appropriately prepare and deliver dashboards and presentations
  • strong interpersonal and advanced comprehension and communication skills; able to autonomously prioritise and meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and work collaboratively to share and obtain information
