Volunteer Position
Bags of Promise Members

At Bags of Promise, we're on a mission to change the lives of youth experiencing homelessness. According to the National Youth Homelessness Survey, 20% of Canada's homeless population consists of youth aged 13 to 24. That's at least 35,000-40,000 young lives facing homelessness at any given time across the country. Many of these youth carry their belongings in trash bags as they move between housing situations such as shelters, staying with friends, vehicles, hotels, and the street. We believe in preserving the dignity of these youth, and that neither they nor their belongings should be treated like trash. That's why we want to replace those trash bags with BOP, or Bags of Promise—reusable bags containing essentials like hygiene items, non-perishable food, and other necessities to ease their burdens during challenging times.

Applications will remain open until September 20th, 2025 at 4PM.
