The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will report to the Shipping Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for inventory accuracy.
Verifies counts as materials leave or enter the warehouse/production area.
Work with shipping and receiving on incoming and outgoing materials.
Work with customer service on issues relating to orders and materials needed for production.
Ensure that all jobs are pulled and ready for the next shift’s production run.
Must fill corrugated/product requests in a timely manner to avoid production shutdowns.
Work with receiving and switchers and unload trailers necessary to fill material request forms.
Ensure that all scrap lists are handled, and all scrap is loaded for removal in a timely manner.
Must ensure that all materials being removed from a production line are accurately recorded on the correct form, and that all materials have been properly banded and/or wrapped to ensure that they will “hold up” in the warehouse.
Coordinate duties of individuals assigned to the warehouse area.
Performs all other tasks assigned by Warehouse Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Two years of experience working in a manufacturing or shipping environment.
