Machine Helper - 2nd Shift - 4:30 pm to 3:30 am Mon to Fri + weekends as needed
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a hands-on, motivated Machine helper who takes pride in running efficient, high-quality production lines. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Experience with corrugated converting or corrugator equipment.
- A proven ability to improve machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and train crew members.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Manufacture corrugated cartons in a high-volume production environment.
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the machine crew, ensuring performance goals are met in waste reduction, efficiency, quality, and uptime.
- Direct and train machine crew members, including new team members.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Corrugator or Converting machine experience (Flexo Folder Gluer, Rotary Die Cutter, Flat Bed Die Cutter, Specialty Folder Gluer, and/or Litho Laminator).
- Proven ability to improve machine efficiencies in a production environment.
- Experience in corrugated packaging environments.
- Strong process control background with demonstrated analytical skills.
- Computer literacy, including experience with Windows-based systems.
- Familiarity with equipment operation and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Team-oriented, organized, detail-driven, and able to perform physical tasks.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand unassisted for up to 12 hours per day while wearing safety shoes.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, twist, and reach around equipment and obstacles unassisted as needed.
- Ability to read and understand a tape measure (imperial units) and perform basic math, including fractions.
- Repeatedly lift oversized sheets and boxes from chest to ground level.
- Wear protective equipment for extended periods (gloves, sleeves, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed shoes, face masks, ear plugs).
- Ability to climb stairs and work on elevated platforms (up to 20 ft.).
- Ability to reach the ground unassisted.
- Communicate effectively in loud working environments while wearing PPE.
- Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse (ambient temperatures between 40 – 115°F) for up to 12 hours per day.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to wash hands multiple times per day with antibacterial soap.
- Work overtime as needed (up to 12 hours/day, up to 7 days/week).
- Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted; more than 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Work in tight spaces.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and sanitization measures.
- Ability to cross conveyor systems using narrow walking platforms (4” wide).
- Strong spatial recognition and deductive reasoning skills.
Education and Experience:
- Previous machine operator experience (6 months or more) preferred.
