  • Location: Alameda (Oakland), Bay Area in California.

  • Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Steward to lead data quality initiatives. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and reliability of data across multiple applications and business functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance principles and a passion for mentoring others to uphold high data standards.

    Looking for someone who has relevant data quality / management / governance experience on the Salesforce ecosystem. Someone with experience using Cloudingo would be an extra bonus.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data profiling and auditing efforts at scale to identify and address data quality issues.
  • Design and refine data quality rules and processes to maintain data integrity.
  • Resolve complex data issues that span across multiple systems and domains.
  • Maintain and manage cross-domain metadata to ensure data consistency.
  • Take ownership of the data issue backlog, driving issues to resolution.
  • Partner with IT, data engineering, and various business units to address data issues and gaps.
  • Coordinate with product owners and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for data quality rules.
  • Approve limited-scope defect remediation and recommend changes to data processes and tool enhancements.

  • Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: o Advanced proficiency in SQL. o Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI or Tableau. o Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis. o Familiarity with workflow management tools. o Awareness of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and API/ETL processes.
  • Soft Skills: o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. o Excellent communication and collaboration skills. o A proactive and methodical approach to data management
