Job Description:
Advantage Investigations seeks a HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR needs, with responsibilities in activities such as onboarding/pre-employment, employee compliance and employee services. This position will require high time management and organizational skills to keep information secure, confidential, orderly, and compliant. This position is a full-time exempt position located in our corporate office in Kannapolis, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the HR department
- Act as a point of contact with employees, address their concerns, and foster a positive workplace culture
- Assist with employees onboarding and pre-employment processing; to include follow-up with potential employees
- Assist with new employee orientation presentations and follow ups
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records using HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring all documentation is current and compliant with legal requirements
- Maintain employee personnel files and related company filing in digital system
- Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities
- Perform as a back up to the recruiting team by screening candidates and coordinating the next onboarding process steps
- Forward thinking to stay up to date with HR trends
- Communicate with managers and other stakeholders regarding any projects/personnel issues
- Ensure maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policy
- Process incoming documents and distribute to stakeholders.
- Assist with any other HR or administrative tasks, and support the HR team as needed
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following requirements for this position:
- Minimum 3 years HR Generalist experience required
- Working knowledge of HR compliance laws and regulations
- Demonstrates professional manner along with strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities to clearly communicate with staff and stakeholders
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing processes quickly
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data privacy standards when handling sensitive HR information
- Customer service focus
- Ability to handle and safe-guard confidential information
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Outlook, SharePoint
- Insurance Fraud Investigation experience a plus; working knowledge of multistate employment laws a plus
Benefits: Advantage provides medical, dental, vision, life, disability benefits along with other supplemental policies, 401k, paid holidays and time off.
Compensation: Advantage pays on a bi-weekly basis at base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications ($53,000 - $56,000).
