Job Description:The Strategy Consultant will work at a Navitas Group level with the Global Strategy Advisor, with assisting in evaluating business opportunities within the current Navitas business units (campuses) and outside of the current Navitas network to help the business achieve its 5-year targets. The role involves strategic big-picture thinking and opportunity identification, along with zoomed-in nuanced thinking, informed heavily by data and insights. They will work with business units and divisional leaders to ensure proactive identification and rigorous assessment of strategic opportunities.
The role is highly analytical, and the individual in this role leads by example in driving a corporate culture of inclusion, collaboration, creativity, positivity, and high performance.
Key Result Areas
Market Research and Opportunity Evaluation
- On a case-by-case basis, conduct comprehensive market research to assess the strategic, financial, and operational merit of new business opportunities whether in existing business units or outside.
- Participate in the due diligence process for new opportunities, ensuring that financial models are supported by realistic assumptions and adjusting where necessary to reflect market realities.
- Engage with senior stakeholders within Navitas to evaluate their needs and contribute to the development of tailored business proposals that meet these needs.
Long-Term Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with divisional planning leads in developing long-term strategic plans, aligning organic growth initiatives with the new opportunities pipeline.
- Coordinate and roll up the divisional 5-year plans into a Group 5-year plan, to support the organization’s long-term financial and growth objectives.
- Assist in creating a well-researched, data backed and clear narrative for senior leadership
ELT Strategic Priorities
- Oversee and coordinate strategic initiatives as prioritized by and agreed with the ELT spanning growth, Business Development, business reviews etc.
- Lead, as appropriate, implementation of select strategic initiatives and bring them to life through cross divisional and cross functional coordination and engagement
Mergers and Acquisitions
- Assist in early high-level assessment of potential acquisition targets, along with a detailed diligence at advanced stages of the process
- MBA or equivalent from a reputable institution, preferably from a top-tier business school
- 0-3 years post MBA work experience in consulting / corporate role
- A strong academic background with a focus on Finance and/or Strategy and/or Marketing
- Experience of working in an outward-looking strategy / research role involving big-picture thinking, market research and developing data-based insights
- Well-developed problem-solving and data analysis skills
- High level of attention to detail in all aspects of work, ensuring quality and accuracy in deliverables
- Ability to think logically and coherently
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, internal and external
- Articulate, highly motivated, disciplined, team-orientated
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A “can do” mentality
